Love your Epic filters? Don't toss the old ones — send them back to us to be recycled and earn a free replacement filter as a thank-you. Here's how it works.
Who can recycle?
The recycling reward program is available to active Clean Water Club subscribers shipping within the United States. (We're working on options for our customers abroad.)
What you'll earn
- 5 Pitcher filters → 1 free filter
- 5 Bottle filter cartridges → 1 free filter
- 3 of the same Smart Shield filter (Under Sink or Sediment) → 1 free filter
Filters need to be the same type, and you cover return postage.
How to recycle — 3 easy steps
- Save your filters. Collect a full set of the same filter (see amounts above).
- Email us first — please don't ship yet. Email [email protected] (or use the chat bubble on our site) and tell us: which filter you're recycling, your Epic order number(s), how many you're sending and which type, your shipping address, and which free filter you'd like. We'll confirm you qualify, set aside your free replacement, and send you a Recycling Reference Number (it looks like EP-R-12345) along with the mailing address.
- Mail your filters. Write your Recycling Reference Number on the box, and include only unwrapped, unboxed filters — no bubble wrap, filter boxes/bags, or packing peanuts.
As soon as your box arrives, we recycle your old filters and send out your free replacement right away.
Why email first?
Emailing first lets us confirm you qualify, reserve the exact free filter you've earned, and give you a reference number — so your reward ships the moment your box lands, with no waiting around while we track down your order.

- Send the same filter type and the required quantity to earn a free filter.
