Our fridge filter is a multi-stage filter. It contains our solid activated carbon block which removes over 200 contaminants, and in addition, it contains a hollow fiber microfilter membrane that catches bacteria, viruses, and cysts. Most filters that come pre-installed in your fridge target a few contaminants whereas ours targets a good deal more. The filters that come with your fridge are mainly GAC filters whereas ours is a solid carbon block filter. To learn more about the difference between GAC and solid carbon block filters, click here.

Also, our filter lasts a year whereas most fridge filters last 3-4 months. Ours will also filter your ice so you can enjoy filtered ice in your filtered water :)
