What contaminants does your Epic Outdoor Filter remove?Updated 2 years ago

The patented filter in the Outdoor Water Filter has been certified to NSF/ANSI standards to remove up to 99.9999% of fresh water contaminants, including Giardia and Cryptosporidium, and meets and exceeds NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53. NSF 42 means that the our Epic Outdoor Filters removes aesthetic contaminants like taste, odor and visible particles. More importantly, NSF 53 ensures that it also effectively removes harmful microbiological contaminants. 

 

The Epic Outdoor Filter has also been tested to remove: 99.99% of bacteria, cysts and viruses, chlorine (99.58%), heavy metals, including arsenic, copper, lead, mercury, aluminium, cadmium (97.5%), iodine (91.67%). It also removes Endrin, DDD, DDT, Lindane, Heptachlor, PCB’s, Altrazine, Simazine, Nitrite, Bromodichloromethane, Bromoform, Benzene, Dibromochloromethae, Carbon Tetrachloride, Ethyl Benzene, Methyl Tert Butyl Ether, Trichloroethane, Toluene, Xylene, Giardia, Crytoporidium, E. Coli, E. Faecalis, F+RNA.
