Do your filters remove microplastics?Updated 2 years ago
There is no testing for water filters to show that they actually remove microplastics, but any filter that is 2 microns or smaller will remove all microplastics. All of our filters including our bottle filters are less than 2 microns in size so they will remove all microplastics.
There is no evidence that microplastics are dangerous to human health. Yet, due to their small size, they are easy to ingest and are now the subject of a health review by the World Health Organization. A carbon block filter of 2-microns or Reverse Osmosis will filter the smallest microplastics found. Taking price in consideration, a carbon block filter is an affordable and environmentally friendly way to keep the family safe from microplastics.
We are always looking for new contaminants to test and testing for them, so stay tuned because we may have some new test results on this soon!
