Everyday Filter vs Outdoor FilterUpdated 2 years ago
We have 2 bottle filters to choose from! Not sure which to get? Hopefully this will help.
The Everyday is the best for (you guessed it) everyday use. It's meant for treated or municipal water, and it removes over 70 contaminants. See that full list here.
A lot of customers ask about how our Everyday filter does with fluoride. Unfortunately, it's not great at removing fluoride because fluoride removal is dependent upon contact time. So the more time that water has to interact with water, the better it will be at removing fluoride. Our best filter at removing fluoride is our Pure pitcher filter.
The Outdoor is best for those who want to use their bottle abroad or outside on untreated water as it will remove bacteria, viruses, and cysts in addition to other contaminants. See that full list here.
The Outdoor does remove more fluoride than our Everyday. (It removes 60%.) And that's because it has a longer contact time with the water. With that, it also requires more effort to pull water through the filter and through the straw. Because of this, we don't recommend using it for every day use. It makes a great hiking or traveling filter, though!
