I noticed some residue in my water after using it for some time. What's going on?Updated 2 years ago
If you notice residue in your water or in your bottle/jug, we recommend first rinsing out the water container and rinsing the filter out as well. (Be sure not to use any soap on your filter.)
If you live in an area with high sediment in your water, this is more likely to occur. We notice this a lot specifically with our UK customers. Our filters are not designed to remove trace minerals and things like calcium may be more noticeable in your filtered water than was present before.
If rinsing out your bottle or jug does not help, then we recommend trying out either our Outdoor Filter (for bottle users) or our Nano Filter (for jug/pitcher users). Those filters are more targeted toward sediment so they may be more effective!
